Equal Money System Q&A – “what if I need so much physical help when I'm old that I can't pay with the equal money I get per month”

Understand that within the Equal Money System, where you receive your basic income on a monthly basis for your basic needs – that this “Equal Money” does not imply “the same amount of money for everyone”.

Equal Money implies that everyone has the same right to life and that everyone bears equal value as life. This does not mean that everyone is the same and that there is ‘one amount’ that will fit each and everyone. Basic needs will differ from person to person – from context to context – but are all equal in that they are basic needs
Hence, if you are an elder person within society and have “more needs” that require to be attended than for example an average healthy 24 year old – then this will be reflected within the Equal Money credits you receive as your basic income.

Not being able to pay for the attendance of your physical needs due to old age will therefore not be an existing concern.

In short: There is no fixed amount that each one will receive. Each one’s situation will be assessed individually and each one’s Equal Money Income will be a function of their individual basic needs.

Inflation & Corruption within an Equal Money System

Here is a response I made to a question asked on the Equal Money Forum:

1. You defined following: "all money being issued has the nature of a loan with interest". And yes, the banks are the worst factor in all dealings concerning money. This can be controlled although banks should probably die out (at least banks as we know them). The problem is that your definition is not throughly correct. When you print money you have inflation, but not only because interest rates are lower and interest rate is the price of money, but also due to the fact that so called "aggregate prices" go up. By that I mean literally prices of all goods (in general). When the prices are higher you can buy less with the same amount of money. This means that the system should have a very high control (just like a monetery expanisive politic should have). Control is the main problem in today's world. This ALWAYS lead to corruption. What are your ideas and, possibly, strategies on solving this problem?

You are correct, banks and loans are not the only factor in causing inflation – the inflation problem is caused by multiple factors. What these factors do have in common is that they all in some way or another are linked to unbalanced mathematical equations (such as asking interest on a loan and creating money out of nothing). In essence, inflation is mostly a symptom of our current economic and monetary system. Since the Equal Money System will be based and operating on whole new set of principles and thus a whole not set of equations which will actually be balanced – inflation as a symptom will disappear.
Any type of monetary policy is currently only an attempt at postponing the inevitable. The current system is based on an incorrect equation, where the two sided “don’t add up”. All monetary policies are doing now is trying to monitor and manipulate the outflows of this dysfunctional system with new equations – but they can never truly fix it – because the very initial equation the system is based on, is unbalanced and doomed to spiral out into massive disproportion. Inflation should thus cancel itself out in an Equal Money System.

The same can be said about greed – greed is mostly a cause and symptom arising from a dysfunctional, out-of-proportion system. Due to extensive polarity and extremities where society and its peoples are divided between an extreme line of ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’. Greed, having “a lot”, wanting abundance only stems forth from the polarity opposite of massive lack. People want more and will accept bribes because there is no security within our current system. If you don’t play by the rules or you are simply ‘unlucky’ – the system will simply disregard you and you will be left with nothing. It’s this constant insecurity, not knowing what will happen, knowing that any time you can be left with nothing, knowing that there are so many people who already have nothing – that drives people to want more to satiate and drench their inner fear and anxiety. The current system is the creator and supporter of Greed through not providing an actual platform of support for Human Beings, where living Life is self-evident and where each one receives the tools and resources to do so.
Obviously greed will not disappear overnight and will still stick up its head from time to time – but it should be nowhere near as problematic as it is currently, and will be dealt with in terms of re-education of those who participate within it.

2. You declare that people will do jobs when they find out they are necessary. But how would you deal with jobs that nobody want to do, except for money. Like dealing with waste (garbage)?

As you can read on the home page under the FAQ, jobs which are absolutely vital to human survival and support will be placed within the 4 year conscription. Basically after one is done with their primary stage of education, each will participate for a duration of 4 years within a labour program which tends to all the jobs and tasks that need to be done to keep the basics of society running. This is an educational period where one learns about the know-hows of what is involved in terms of keeping humans sustained (which a lot of people take for granted at the moment); as well a first experience and introduction to the labour side of the Equal Money System. Just like any other job someone would take on, one will receive remuneration for the job done. The conscription point is simply a point of equality – everyone has certain basic needs that need to be taken cared of, everyone can contribute to this equally.

It’s Free!

The other day one of the comments I got on one of my videos went as following:

“Go educate yourself on KhanAcademy’s YouTube Channel, it won’t cost you a penny!”

And immediately as I read the comment, it struck me that there is actually not a single thing in existence which is “for free” – you or another will always pay in one way or another.

Let’s have a look at the statement this person made on my video, and what conditions would have to be present for me to “go and educate myself” on someone’s Youtube Channel.

Firstly, for me to go on this channel and ‘educate myself’, I would require to have internet.
In this world internet is not for free. So I would either be in a scenario where I have a home and within this home I have internet installed and I pay a monthly fee to be able to use this internet – or any other way that one can have internet at home. But, this implies that I have a home! A home with electricity for me to be able to run my computer or charge my laptop so that I would be able to run an internet browser – or I could have a cell phone with internet which still requires electricity and credit for me to access the internet.

So now we have already established that there is money involved in 1) Internet itself, 2) the pc, laptop or whatever device is used to run internet, 3) electricity to feed the device (and then there’s also rent\payment for house and a whole bunch of other things involved).

Now, let’s take worse case scenario and I don’t have a home - I am homeless - and the only way I can have access to internet is by going to a library or internetcafe which again requires money.

Now, considering that I am homeless and have nothing better to do than going to an internetcafe \ library would imply that I have a job and money – because if I did not have a job and no money I would not be wasting my time at an internetcafe \ library because I have more important things to do like keeping myself alive. And even if for instance the internet access at the library would be for free, you still require money, although indirectly, for you to be able to breathe, piss, shit (and where piss would imply having drunk something for you to be able to generate pee and for you to have eaten something for you to be able to generate poop which all need money).

So what is the bottomline: anything in this world costs money. Simply being alive costs money.
“Living” \ “Being Alive” and you being able to live your life is not something that is self-evident. Living, breathing is not a right but only a privilege to those who have money.

Does that mean…. YES! It means that our very economic and monetary system is in direct violation of Human Rights – and no-one sees it or does anything about it because we have become so conditioned to accept the world as it is.

Stop the violation - investigate Equal Money

The Need to Cheat

Throughout my research on the Monetary System and studying economy, I’ve observed a fascinating pattern that humans seem to not be able to stay away from, which is: The Need to Cheat.

Whenever a system is working fine and everything is operational, there is always someone, someone who wants to deviate from the system and the rules of the game to make things ‘go faster’, ‘better’ and ‘for him only’. Like for instance the goldsmith who realised no one ever comes and claims all their gold at the same time and then invented the beginning of fractional reserve banking. Then, by the time everyone realises what happens, the whole system has become dependent on this ‘cheat’ to make things ‘better’ – and ends up legalizing it and even make it a custom.

Throughout my economy textbook there’s been so many moments where I go “they did it again!” where someone wants to make things go faster and wants to make more money and “cheats” the system. The thing with these ‘cheats’ is that they always only work for one person or one party only, while creating a polarity situation for the rest where they are off more miserably than before.

All these little ‘cheats’ then accumulate within the system, and overtime you have a giant monster of a system that is actually completely dysfunctional in nature due to all these cheats that have been implemented and accumulated. But obviously those in power do not want to put an end to this unsustainable and dysfunctional system that is bound to just explode into a million pieces, because they are the ones benefitting, they are the cheaters.
From the very first moment someone started with the first cheat, the whole system was bound to doom, because there was no more equality, no more balance within the equation. Instead it’s just a giant monster machine with a black hole in the centre that just sucks everything up into nothingness.

(What’s even more disgusting is that so many Western elitists currently and throughout histoy really get off on being able to cheat and “outsmart” everyone with their clever way of doing things and making money – as if this makes them someone better and superior than everyone else, while all they are doing is just showing what lowlifes they are with no sense of integrity or respect for anyone else.)

What does this imply? It implies that the end of the system was already placed a long time ago, and that no matter what happens, our current monetary system will end – there’s just no fixing it.
The only “choice” that we have in the matter is where we will take up our destiny in our own hands and stop this monster – or wait for the monster to finish us first before we come to the point of “enough” and think about implementing a change.

(It also means we gotta stop cheating in the name of our selfishness and greed and start acting from the principle of What is Best for All – anything else will just be another road to digging our own grave)
